What we do
Approach 1
1:1 Executive Advisory
Our Executive Advisors are sounding boards and thought partners, providing highly pragmatic solutions in challenging assignments, and bringing their full personalities to work for the benefit of our clients. S&P Executive Advisory helps when quick improvements are need, when executive effectiveness depends on more than “just” better communication or greater clarity. Our work unfolds its full impact in situations where “it really counts”, when working with demanding stakeholder groups, when major changes are to be implemented quickly and, above all, sustainably.
The work of our Executive Advisors is based on a robust selection process, a thorough assignment scoping, tried and tested methods, elaborate quality assurance and permanent individual and joint development. It sustainably increases the success of executives and the company (divisions) entrusted to them.
If appropriate, we use globally recognized instruments such as the Hogan Assessments, the Leadership Circle Profile, the 360 instruments of the Centre for Creative Leadership, Clifton StrengthsFinder, the Five Dysfunctions (The Table Group) or our highly effective individual and collective questionnaires to specifically increase our clients’ awareness of their effectiveness.
Typical occasions for 1:1 Executive Advisory
- New entry into company as CEO/ExCo member from outside
- In-house development of e.g. divisional management to ExCo level
- Preparation of candidates for ExCo level promotion
- Reaching full performance potential
- Leadership after restructuring or in new cultures
- Implementation of restructuring measures, post-merger integration, carve-outs, corporate transactions
- Reassignment of ExCo level responsibilities
More information and specific examples can be found in the Case Studies.
Approach 2
Executive Team Advisory
In many successful companies, there is a team at the top that knows what it is doing – individually and, above all, collectively. Getting there is anything but easy. We accompany executive committees, executive & leadership teams of divisions, business units or corporate functions on their way. We use our extensive experience and methodological approaches to provoke the conversations that really move a team forward, and create the confidential space that ensures the conversations create value (and don’t cause lasting damage).

Approach 3
Special Projects
Based on our long-standing client relationships (in some cases 15 years), many projects have emerged that have been of great benefit to our clients, that have challenged us as much as they have been fun – and that have one thing in common: They do not fit into the categories of 1:1 Executive Advisory or Team Executive Advisory.>
Here are some examples
- Agile transformation (e.g. at two large insurance companies and one large bank)
- Workshop series on topics such as Empathetic Leadership in a highly specialized consulting firm.
- Cohort-oriented executive development programs, e.g. on the topic of Unconscious Bias Awareness for approx. 900 executives of a globally active IT company
