Dr. Monique Valcour works as an executive coach, trainer, and facilitator with leaders, teams, and organizations across multiple industries and countries. She helps clients build flexible, highly effective leadership and learning repertoires from a solid foundation of self-awareness, contextual appreciation, and relational agility.
Monique combines her rigorous academic foundation, extensive coaching experience, and evidence-based methodologies to create transformative coaching and learning experiences that boost performance and vitality. As a former management professor with a PhD in organizational behavior, she brings deep expertise in work psychology to every engagement.
Monique is known for her thoughtful, energizing presence and her ability to help clients examine situations from multiple perspectives. Certified by the International Coaching Federation (Professional Certified Coach) and the Co-Active Training Institute (Certified Professional Co-Active Coach), Monique is also trained in systemic and team coaching through the Centre for Right Relationship (Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching/ORSC). She employs an extensive toolkit of frameworks, tools, and coaching approaches, bringing full presence and attention to each client interaction and consistently asking herself, “What will serve my client best in this moment?”
Monique earned her PhD and MSc in Organizational Behavior from Cornell University, an MEd from Harvard University, and a BA from Brown University. She spent 18 years in academia, serving as management professor at EDHEC Business School in France and Boston College, Carroll School of Management in the US.
In 2015, she transitioned to full-time executive coaching, training, and facilitation. She has since worked with hundreds of clients globally. She partners with Harvard Business Publishing – Corporate Learning, the United Nations System Staff College, and many other organizations. Her client portfolio spans multinational corporations, nonprofits, and intergovernmental organizations. She is also a thought leader, having published over thirty articles in Harvard Business Review on leadership, coaching, career development, and well-being.
Monique lives in the French Maritime Alps near Nice, where she has crafted her own version of a sustainable career that aligns with her values of learning, self-determination, connection, and meaningful work. When she’s not working, Monique can be found hiking or skiing in the French Maritime Alps by day and dining with her husband and friends in the evening.
